Our Mission
erces.co is an independent educational platform dedicated to making ERCES standards, compliance, and best practices accessible to the professionals who need them — architects, building owners, facility managers, and the integrators who serve them.
We are not an ERCES installer or manufacturer. We don't sell equipment or bid on projects. Our focus is education, and that independence is intentional. It means the information on this site isn't shaped by what we're trying to sell — it's shaped by what professionals need to know.
How Our Content Is Developed
Our content is built on the published standards themselves — IFC 510, NFPA 72, NFPA 1221, NFPA 1225, and UL 2524 — and updated as codes evolve. We cite and link to primary sources so you can verify anything we say, and we correct promptly when a code edition changes the answer.
What We Offer
Two things, kept deliberately simple:
- Free education — plain-language guides to the standards, the implementation process, testing requirements, and the questions owners actually ask. If you need one specific answer, it should be findable here without a sales call.
- Practical next steps — when reading isn't enough, we connect building owners with licensed ERCES installers in their area, and offer downloadable templates and worksheets for inspections, hiring, and budgeting.
